Sarah Mobley, a senior lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, was awarded the 2024 American Society of Civil Engineers-Outstanding Engineering Educator award for the state of Tennessee.
The Peter G. Hoadley Award for Outstanding Engineering Educator was instituted by the Tennessee Section of ASCE in 2004. The award is given to an engineering educator member of the Tennessee Section of ASCE who has made significant contributions to the education process and to the society at the national, section, and/or branch levels.
Mobley is the ninth award winner from the Tickle College of Engineering.
“Winning the Peter G. Hoadley Award for Outstand Engineering Educator will serve as a defining high point of my career,” said Mobley, who also received the TCE Leon and Nancy Cole award for Outstanding Teaching and a CEE departmental teaching award in 2024. “I feel truly thrilled to be able to represent TCE in this way. Past winners include engineers I greatly esteem, and I am honored to be listed among them.”
