John D. Tickle Professor Joshua Fu was quoted in a recent Knoxville News Sentinel article about Knoxville’s air quality.
The article references a report from the American Lung Association ranking the Knoxville area as the 25th worst city in the US for annual air pollution. Fu, who serves on the Air Pollution Control Boards for Knox County and the state of Tennessee, said it is common for air pollution concerns to be dismissed unless someone has or knows someone who has respiratory problems.
