Candace Brakewood

Associate Professor

Biography

Candace Brakewood joined the faculty in August 2017 after serving on the faculty at the City College of New York for three years. She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech and dual MS degrees from MIT in Transportation and Technology Policy. Her research focuses on “smart” transportation systems and aims to use new information and communication technologies to improve urban transportation networks. In 2016, she was named a Rising Star fellow by the Transportation Research Board and was selected for Mass Transit Magazine’s “Top 40 under 40” list.
